چکیده

Abstract Introduction Idiopathic Hypersomnia (IH) is characterized clinically by excessive daytime sleepiness, prolonged or unrefreshing sleep, and sleep inertia. The ICSD-3 classifies IH as having expected proportions of NREM REM normal latency relatively high efficiency. However, there limited granular data on quality in these patients whether this disease state comprises with a homogenous spectrum quality. aim study to describe the using ECG derived spectrogram. Methods This single center cross sectional where we identified 37 consecutive extended studies for 10 more hours total time (TST). spectrogram an plethysmography based system which evaluates stability principle autonomic respiratory oscillations (cardiopulmonary coupling). High frequency coupling (HFC) associated stable sleep. Sleep index (SQI) strongly weighted HFC. Manual Characterization of Sleep Spindle Index in Patients with Narcolepsy and Idiopathic Hypersomnia

This is a retrospective review of PSG data from 8 narcolepsy patients and 8 idiopathic hypersomnia (IH) patients, evaluating electrophysiologic differences between these two central hypersomnias. Spindles were identified according to the AASM Manual for the Scoring of Sleep and Associated Events; and counted per epoch in the first 50 epochs of N2 sleep and the last 50 epochs of N2 sleep in each...

Idiopathic hypersomnia

This article includes discussion of idiopathic hypersomnia (IH), which is characterized by excessive daytime sleepiness, difficulty awakening (sleep drunkenness), and undisturbed overnight sleep without cataplexy or known cause of excessive sleepiness. Excessive sleepiness (hypersomnolence) of unknown etiology, which cannot be explained by another disorder, would be considered idiopathic hypers...

Effect of melatonin administration on sleep quality in sulfur mustard exposed patients with sleep disorders

Sulfur mustard (SM) is a toxic agent that targets several tissues. It is the leading cause of persistent lung disease, progressive deterioration in lung function and mortality among patients. Disturbed sleep and poor quality of sleep are common in SM-exposed patients with chronic respiratory problems. Melatonin is an alternative medication that has been widely used to treat poor sleep quality c...
